KASIA KLON

I was born in Poland but started living a nomadic life after turning 20 years old. Traveling with theatrical group of Grotowski’s students brought me to Turin, Italy where I studied Printmaking and Drawing in 2008. In 2011 I joined Gowanus Studio Space in New York, while doing my internship in Cealum Gallery in Chelsea.

In 2013 I received a MFA with honors from The Strzemiński Academy of Art  (Lodz, Poland) with a major in Printmaking. It was presented at the Best Diplomas of 2013, Prime Time exhibition. I was also noticed by international art competitions and have taken part in very interesting projects around the world. In 2014, I opened StreetArt Tour Paris – a small business to educate people about Contemporary Urban Art. Currently I’m living and working in Paris, but continue to travel.

My main artistic inspirations come from the organic world, philosophy, psychology and my own experiences. Natural minimalism, forms, patterns, shapelessness, and transparency fascinate me. I try to create a new non-literal semi-abstract image, that carries my thoughts on a chosen subject.
