Liana Perez is a Colombian visual artist and illustrator. She studied fine arts in her hometown, Cali, as well as at EINA in Barcelona. Her inspiration and her work are lulled by the wisdom of the Amerindian people. She has had the opportunity to exhibit in Spain, France, Argentina and Colombia, where many of her works and murals can be found that take us into the midst of her spiritual search, halfway between the place of Nature and the feminine.
My artistic work explores a universe that has been influenced by my spiritual experiences and the search for my ancestral roots. I wish to connect more and more with the teachings of Nature, the cycles of the moon, and medicinal plants. I like to feel myself through sacred ceremonies and the understanding that every element of nature has a spirit that deserves to be respected, and this is what lies at the heart of my art.
I have developed a special interest in drawing which has accompanied me in giving free rein to my unconscious, in the present moment when I need it. My creative process is a catharsis where the chance of the moment but also the error always occupy a central place.
