I am María Peña (1989), Spanish artist now living in Paris. I am a graduate in Fine Arts by the University of Madrid, studies that I completed between the Universities of Sao Paulo and London, supported by different grants.
That is how I started travelling and how I ended up embracing a nomadic lifestyle. During the last 10 years I have lived, worked and developed projects in New York (USA), Port Prince (Haiti), Bandung (Indonesia), Beijing (China), Vienna (Austria), London (England), Madrid (Spain) and now Paris.
All those experiences have clearly influenced my way of creating. My artwork has now a strong social content, multicultural influences and is fueled by personal experiences.
