Initiated and led by the artist-author Marianne Vinégla Camara, associated with the photographer Catherine Hongnat, this residency-workshop project, based on instinctive creation around the construction of doll-sculptures, gathered 8 young adults suffering from various mental pathologies from the CAJ Robinson of Sceaux (Unapei92) to form “The Crusoes of Robinson”.
This restitution gathers about forty phantasmagorical creatures put into the world by the Crusoes, photographs of Catherine Hongnat as witnesses of the adventure and instinctive paintings of the painter Jean-Philippe Malaplate.
Some of Marianne’s doll-sculptures will also be exhibited as witnesses of the origin of the project.
You will also be able to discover the book “Robinson’s Crusoes”, a poetic report written by Marianne with photographs of Catherine Hongnat’s residence.
This book is in pre-order and will be available from the 1st at the Galerie du 59 Rivoli.
